November 2018

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU. Your local Groundwater Sustainability Agencies are surveying interested parties and other stakeholders to learn more about your thoughts on groundwater sustainability planning.

Please take 10-15 minutes to learn a little more about Groundwater Sustainability Plans (GSPs) and let us know if you have any questions, issues, concerns, or groundwater planning needs.  The survey link is here:  https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TracySGMA1.  Feel free to share this link with anyone you think might be interested. The survey closes December 7, 2018.

September 2018

Thanks to the support of at least 75% of the local agencies and water systems in Contra Costa and San Joaquin Counties, the Department of Water Resources has received as complete our Basin Boundary Modification request to subdivide the Tracy subbasin along the Contra Costa and San Joaquin County lines. A final determination is expected in February 2019.

December 2017

In November 2017, the City of Brentwood submitted an application for Groundwater Sustainability Plans (GSPs) and Projects on behalf of the MOU Member Agencies and San Joaquin County. The Sustainable Groundwater Planning (SGWP) Grant Program being administered by DWR uses funds authorized by Proposition 1, to encourage sustainable management of groundwater resources that support Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA).
